Boston kitchen

As part of the renovation of her house in Boston, USA, the client installed a new kitchen and asked me to design the glass to go into the kitchen cabinets. As the worktops were to be dark grey granite and the wall tiles a grey-green glass, I chose a pale grey glass with a hammered finish for the cabinets.

I deeply sandblasted a simple squares design onto the glass. Each piece of glass was sandblasted with a slightly different design to give variety and interest. The glass looks quite different, depending on whether the backlighting is switched on or off.
