Glass for kitchen cabinets
As part of the renovation of her house in Boston, USA, the client was installing a new kitchen and asked me to design the glass to go into the kitchen cabinets. As the worktops were to be dark grey granite and the wall tiles a grey-green glass, I chose a pale grey glass with a hammered finish for the cabinets. I deeply sandblasted each piece of glass with a simple design of squares. Each piece of glass was sandblasted with a slightly different design, to give variety and interest. As you can see from these images, the glass looks quite different, depending on whether the backlighting is switched on or off.
